The House In The Hills
If it’s pure escapism you are searching for, look no further. This remote house in the countryside is perfectly located with breathtaking scenery and fresh water springs right on your doorstep. The road that leads you to this hidden gem transports you to a perfect wilderness, passing wild horses, Highland cattle and sheep – you will think you are on top of the world. Then………. there it is, your perfect location for a traditional rural retreat.
The House in the Hills comes with two properties, both restored by father and son Glyn & Steve Greenow who took great pride in restoring them to the highest standard yet still in keeping with the original features.
There is the main farmhouse with three lovely double bedrooms sleeping six and a self contained barn with a further two double bedrooms, sleeping four just across the courtyard. Both the house and Barn have spacious kitchens with all modern cooking facilities, large dining rooms to entertain in the evenings and TVs with cinema surround. The bathrooms boast large walk in showers with jacuzzi jets and roll top baths, pure indulgence.
If you can drag yourself away from the comforts of this house, you will find the captivating town of Hay on Wye, only 10 minutes away. Or you may want to take in the great outdoors and take a walk out of your front door into the heart of the Black Mountains.
On your return, depending on the time of year, you can snuggle up by the roaring fire or get the bbq going for Al fresco dining on the sun terrace.
Last but not least and what a treat, why not have a hot tub under the stars and soak up the magnificent views.
The House in the Hills is truly a magical experience where special memories are made.
“An oasis of peace and tranquility with glorious views and magnificent walks in every direction from the front door. Impeccably restored wood and Welsh slate abound, it’s so luxurious it’s hard to leave”
“A surprise 60th birthday weekend. The hot tub under the stars was a particular highlight for me. The standard of comfort (luxury!) was like a five star hotel and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside too…bliss!”
“What a stunning house and converted barn, glorious views and the hot tub was amazing – and essential after a fantastic morning riding! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect weekend!”
“The views from the barn are stunning – there is nothing quite like curling up with a lovely glass of wine next to a wood burning stove gazing at the view of Hay Bluff”
